It's not about creating a finished product -- it's about developing a practice, getting words onto the page, taking risks, and enjoying the company of …
I have written three full length feature scripts for film, and I am an avid movie watcher for entertainment and the construction of plot and character devices that make a script compelling. My goal for this group is to have other screenwriters join so we can read and critique each other's scripts and also go to movies together so we can watch and critique the films. Dissecting and critiquing films and discussing structure will only help our own scripts better. Discussing the marketing of scripts …

The goal of Writers Who Read is to assemble a group of passionately committed writers interested in coming together to investigate craft in a friendly setting. One evening per month we will meet up to discuss a book voted on by the group. We will began by identifying the aspects of craft readers found to be most successful in the book and then turn our attention to those decisions people felt detracted from the story.
