The Speculative Collective is a writing critique group formed in 2008, which caters to all varieties of speculative fiction writing. Our group meets once monthly to share our science fiction, fantasy, or even more unusual writing with each other.  Work is posted in advance, and then critiqued at the meetup by everyone in the group, from those just starting out to the more experienced, published writers in our group.

Writers mostly write. Besides writing, the second most important act is submitting. I'd like to meet once a month with a group of writers who are submitting their work.  During this meeting we can exchange ideas about motivation, where to submit certain kinds of work and the mechanics of submitting material. We can map out strategies for submitting work and make committments to the group about the process.

This is a Painting workshop for any level of artist. I will begin the class by having you paint a value study of whatever subject matter you like or from a still life that I will set up. Then we will paint that same study in color using oil paints. The workshop will meet at the studio in my home in Englewood.
